1. Scouts, I summon thee - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]

2. Assault or logi - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
If you want to play your logi more like an assault you really should be looking at the speedier Type-II version. I'd pick it over a Type-I Assault unless I really *needed* a sidearm. Aside from more PG/CPU the Type-II Logi also has more stamina/st...

3. Strafing speed -- the same for all suits of the same type? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
I had my alt dump some SP into logi suits: - Logi Type-II has a higher strafing speed than Type-I. - The difference is higher than that between Scout Type-I and Type-II. This makes sense since the difference in movement-speed is larger for the l...

6. Strafing speed -- the same for all suits of the same type? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Here's the numbers I got in case anyone is interested: Scout Type-I: ~4.2 sec Scout Type-II: ~4.3 sec Militia Assault: ~5.5 sec Militia Logi: ~5 sec This is the (approx) time it took me to strafe between the two points I'd picked. I hooked up a ...

7. Strafing speed -- the same for all suits of the same type? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
So I spent most of a skirmish strafing back and forth between two points with a stopwatch (look, a use for skirmish other than afk-farming -- hope they fix the stats-bug soon ;)). Type-I Scout (movement 5.6/7.8) does appear to strafe slightly fas...

8. Strafing speed -- the same for all suits of the same type? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
I've always thought that strafing speed is only determined by suit type, but I remember reading a post where someone mentioned type-2 assaults move sideways faster than type-1. In a ways it would make sense since type-2 have 0.1 m/s more movement ...

9. Do racial factions matter? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
There's one more difference that people tend to forget about: the free militia LAV. You either get the Onikuma (more shield, missiles) or the Baloch (armor, blaster turret). Currently missiles are useless and while you can equip another turret i...

10. Easy Math - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Actually, it's 104, 109, 114 etc. For some reason the result is always "rounded" down, even when it's a whole number. EDIT: I've only checked power grid, CPU and shields tho.

The different suit-types have different strafing speed. Armour plates lower your runspeed. Do they also lower your strafing speed? I've been doing some test, but I can't determine if there's any change (partly because I can only use the plates wi...

14. Faster SP: Ambush or Skirmish? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Until you reach the weekly cap it's pretty much the same since most of your SP simply comes from time spent in battle. Once you reach the cap ambush is more efficient since the fights are shorter.

15. what is a better build armor or shields?? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
They're not mutually exclusive, use both -- until you need the slots for some other modules that is ;). Unlike EVE dual tanking is perfectly viable, at least for dropsuits.
